What kind of antiques do we have?

We stock a limited selection of books and fine bindings based on either desk & shelf appeal and some just for a cover or title that gives us pleasure. Call us shallow, but we believe that substance without style is well...just a little lacking. Or you can call me Ishmael. And so your books can have a place to sit up and pay attention, we offer bookends and bookrests.
And so you can read the books in style have a look at our assortment of vintage eyewear dating from the 1750s to the 1950s.
Focus, focus, focus. And if you still can't see, have a gander at our telescopes, spyglasses, binoculars, monoculars, field glasses and opera glasses.
It's true we carry a large variety of hand luggage and a few trunks, some of which may been seen at vintageluggage.com that are for rent only, but we occasionally do have pieces that are for sale.
We carry a selection of cameras, mostly Kodak late 19th century to mid 20th, as well some Speed Graphics.
Daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, ferrotypes, cdv's, cabinet cards, stereo cards & viewers, portraits, group shots, panoramics, snapshots...well, you get the picture.
We carry walking sticks, canes ("walking sticks are for gentlemen, canes are for invalids"), umbrellas, crops, hunt whips and other such things for shooing small children and livestock out of the way.
Hearing aids, glass eyes, surgical, instruments and the like are presented for your examination. I'm not a doctor I just play one on tv.
Gentlemen believe that a small morning ritual helps them prepare for the day by allowing a soothing contemplative transition from sleep: they take their time shaving, perhaps allowing a hot towel to prepare the skin and using a fine badger shaving brush as well as a mug for the soap. We also offer a selection of straight razors for you to admire while you're actually quite comfortable using a Mach 3.
A large supply of ephemeral material is usually in stock, but may require advance notice for retrieval.
We carry trophies, loving cups, presentation pieces, and other marks of achievement in sterling silver, silver plate, brass, bronze, and copper.
Cigar cases in leather, silver, crocodile, cigaret cases in silver, cigarette holders, matches, lighters and ashtrays. All things in moderation.
Skule Daze. Go Crimson! Beat 'em Yale! Over 200 pennants in stock: mostly cities, towns, schools, school teams, and roadside attractions. No professional sports teams.
Looking for some direction? Need a moral compass? A selection of compasses often in stock.
Our specialty site www.vintagecuff.com always has a large selection of cufflinks and formal dress suites on hand. Included in this category are monocles, tie clips and bars, money clips and so on.
When you have worlds to conquer it's always good to know where you stand. A variety of globes usually in stock.
Gentlemen always need desktop distractions: perhaps inkwells, draughting sets, paperweights, letter scales and other such things to give the appearance of work when one is actually in thrall to Scrabulous or Freecell.
...and speaking of desks, perhaps there's a side or end or hall table or a book shelf that needs some color or shape or drama to attract the eye. Find something odd or juxtaposed. Consider a story to go with it.
Not always, but from time to time as the occasion presents itself, we have gentlemen's vintage clothing: period waistcoats (vests); smoking jackets; formal wear; smoking caps; dressing gowns; regatta jackets; riding habits; tall boots, paddock boots and other footwear; varsity jackets; fedoras and the like; and even socks, neck-ties, bow-ties and french-back boxers. But never, ever tighty-whities.
...and for the restored vintage airstream® or cabin, cottage, or compound a few bits of rustic decor: skis, snowshoes, skates, twigware and the occasional trophy mount. Not that you'd ever hurt Bambi...
And since gentlemen always buy gifts for the ladies in their lives may we suggest Pulver.

Thank you for your kind attention.
